![]() ![]() Michael (Mike) Giguere is a self employed Management Consultant and has honed skills in management, governance and policy development. She admires the good works of the many volunteers that bring alive The Compass mission, “Help for today, Hope for tomorrow” and remembers the admonition of Romans 12:13 to “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need.” She hopes that these experiences will allow her to use her skills in a meaningful way to contribute to the ongoing success of The Compass and its efforts to improve and support the most vulnerable in our neighbourhoods in addition to providing a safe and welcoming community to them. Eileen has been a financial services professional for over 30 years in the areas of compliance, risk and regulation and has served on professional and community boards in various capacities. When the opportunity arose for Eileen to join The Board she didn’t hesitate to volunteer in hope that she could serve and contribute to the important and needed good work of The Compass. ![]() Andrew’s Memorial Presbyterian Church on The Compass Board as the Governance Sub-Committee chair. From providing many prepared meals on a weekly basis to those in need, to providing opportunities for folks to socialize, develop friendships, and learn new skills, John is certain that the work The Compass does lives out the example of Christ to reach out and help those in need. John truly believes in The Compass’ mission statement – “together, we provide help for today and hope for tomorrow”, as The Compass provides much needed help to those who struggle with the challenges of food insecurity by offering a fantastic market operation. John can also be seen onsite at The Compass, volunteering for 1 or 2 shifts a week in the market. John brings this valuable knowledge to his position as Board Chair, providing oversight and support to The Compass’ amazing staff. ![]() John has also completed the Institute of Corporate Directors’ director education program, and holds the ICD.D designation. In addition to his 35 year career with PwC, a global accounting firm, John has over 40 years of Board experience mostly in the non-profit sector.
